There are a few things you can do to ease and elieviate symptoms cause by psoriasis which are actually really coming from something a little deeper. I.e stress, low immunity, hormones and or anxiety related. Some good blends and supplements for psoriasis are : Skin Clearing Blend, ingredients incl. Black cumin, Ho Wood, Maleluca (tea tree), Litsea, Eucalyptus & Geranium. Also great when it's added to a carrier oil such as fractionated coconut oil mixed with Almond oil if you aren't allergic to nuts, are Oregano and Patchouli, as well as Lavender and Roman Chamomile. Applied with a rollerbottle is always nice and way less messy way of application. For a stronger immune system you can add On-Guard, Protective blend and or Detoxification blend to the bottoms of you feet, in a rollerball bottle or in a diffuser. As a supplement it's recommended to take a pre and pro biotic, a good one I recommend can be found in the American do-TERRA store as well as Evening Primrose from your local Pharmacy or Heath food store. Up to 1000 mg per day in conjunction with a good Fish oil and/or vitamin E. Since it works best with omega oil, omega 3 is best at balancing stress levels which can contribute to the condition as well as relief from any inflammation, in combination with lavender, frankinsense and copaiba this can double it's effectiveness in relief. The oils I use are do-TERRA you can find more info about the company and their stringent high quality & standards here: https://www.mydoterra.com/alternativeholistics They are one of the very few top quality suppliers of essential oils. Since they are globally harvested organically in the outdoors from their indigenous home land, where they tend to grow best, as well as the only known Certified Therapeutic Grade essential oils on the market today. The prices of the oils reflect their potency and effectiveness and the beauty of the company is that they have a ton of incentives, whether you want to purchase wholesale or sign up as a wellness advocate such as myself. There are no obligations as a buyer, so you may purchase when and how much you prefer. As necessary. Now they can change yours too! Years ago when I was studying in the U.K for my certification in Esthetics, I took a course in Aromatherapy as well. At that time essential oils weren't really that popular and I was so young and healthy at the time I didn't really see the value in them. Now that I'm a bit older I don't know why I didn't. I have found that it helps me with my hormones, mental focus, inflammation and immunity to seasonal bugs. I have found a lot more people dealing with these issues in the regions where temperatures and climates are more moist and prone to fluctuation. Mainly because when there is more moisture in the air there is less oxygen, so they both have the effect of causing joint pain and arthritic symptoms. Also with temperatures going up and down the immune system tends to become more susceptible to any viruses or bugs going around. I still take my supplements but now that I've found a good quality brand that doesn't dilute or alter the oils in any way, I use essential oils now more then ever. The company I buy from is called Dō-terra, which harvests the distillates of each plant that is from their indigenous country of origin, in the environment they grow best. They are one of the very few select companies that distribute Certified Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils.

Take 10 minutes to just breathe Drink less coffee (if you do need caffeine try drinking matcha, green tea or oolong instead). Do some simple yoga poses in the morning or at night before bed, such as Yin, Hatha or for the more experienced Vinyasa. Find a stone you like and carry it with you, some excellent grounding stones are either black or red like obsedian, jet or carnelian. Although i've heard obsedian can have limiting effect on a persons confidence, so i wouldn't over use it. Try taking some supplements from the health food store, or pharmacy such as adaptagens which i've described as also useful for balancing the hormones as well. Some good remedies are Magnesium for calming the nerves, (best taken in the morning before a meal with potassium or alternatively a banana, see below ) Gingko, Tumeric, & St.Johns wort. Find some meditation music, and zen out. Use some essential oils in a diffuser, some good ones are Lavender, rose and anything citris like lemon, orange or bergamot. Chamomile and frankinsense are also really great for calming the nerves. Detox and replenish your Body\Mind by eating more vitamins and mineral rich foods, also take some pro-biotics to help eliminate any unnecessary bacteria in the gut by eating yogurt or alternatively taking a supplement. Replacing your healthy flora into the digestive system. Take a B vitamin or instead eat Beetroots, Brocolli or even better broccoli sprouts which are 20 times more powerful, in helping to ease stress levels. Eating seaweed, or taking spirulina since it is rich in essential minerals the body needs and even more so if you live away from ocean where these trace minerals are harder to come by. Resulting in more instances of hypo or hyper thyroidism, gout and hormone imbalances in these regions its almost of epedemic proportions. Physical and mental imbalances becoming even more prominent for those who are either menapausal, pregnant, going through puberty or simply menstrating. As a reflexologist, i see and am keenly aware of these defeciencies which are becoming more and more common. Back to the topic of what foods to eat; Flaxseed or oil will bind and flush toxins from the intestinal tract and without sounding redundant it is also great for balancing the hormones as is evening primrose oil. A recent article I just read says 'adding flaxseed to cottage cheese' effectively gives a boost to unhealthy or dead cells and regenerizes them, almost like what a cable boost does to a car. Lemons in water will alkalize the body and release enzymes that convert toxins so they are water soluble. Lastly eating apples as they are high in fiber and minerals as well as many other phyto-nutrients. These are just some of the helpful natural alternatives out there that you can find to elieviate your symptoms caused by nutrient deficiencies. |
